Dear Parent/Guardian;

The District of Fair Lawn uses the Genesis Parent Portal as a home-to-school communication system. Parents/guardians have the opportunity to view and monitor their child’s attendance, class schedule, grades, as well as printing progress reports and reports cards.

Please note: None of the above are mailed or sent home with the student, they are only available on line.

Please do take advantage of this new technology to talk to your children about their course work and how to improve. Remember, being able to view your student’s progress online is a technological advancement that will greatly benefit all of us.

• Step 1: http://www.fairlawnschools.org

• Step 2: On the top left of the page, please access the drop down menu “Select a school…” and choose Thomas Jefferson Middle School.

• Step 3: On the top of the page, please click on the “Genesis” tab. A drop down menu will appear, please choose the option “Genesis Portal Registration”.

Please follow the step-by-step directions provided on the top of the page to create your parent Genesis account. You will need to provide all of the information requested on the registration form. Once your account has been created, you will receive an email with your login information.
